A New Beginning

Me = lucky?!
I think I’m really disappointed in my mom…i was in the living room watching tv and she was on the phone w/ her friend. So she knew i’m there and I’m pretty sure the things she said is really what she believes in.
Apparently for me to have the job I’m working at is becuz i’m lucky. She said more than once to her friend that her younger daughter is really lucky to have a job and she’s lucky becuz her career path was always smooth.
I was actually furious when I heard that. So in her eyes, all my success is due to luck, not because I worked hard for it nor deserve it, just plain luck. I think this is probably the most insulting thing one can hear from one’s parent. Now i finally understand why she wasn’t exactly proud of me all these yrs, it’s becuz i’m just a lucky girl.
Research…
I was doing some research regarding my upcoming trip. Just in a few hours, I already learned quit abit of my dream vacation spot.
I just made myself a bowl of noodles, as I was eating, I thought of this plan.
Starting today, I will make sure I learn something new everyday. Because the world is just so big…so many interesting things and facts are out there. I need to explore more of the world I’m living in. I guess you could say that at this moment, I’m knowledge hungry. lol…
So, to start off my agenda, I’m going to read up on Japan’s history. I’m highly interested in learning my new favorite country. I was never into history in highschool, mostly becuz it was always about wars…and those were boring stuff for me. However, now that I’m older, I actually want to look back and see how different countries shaped themselves into what we see today.
Public Transit…

Today is the first time I traveled with GO train. Have heard many things about the train but never tried it myself, mainly due to the high cost for the rides.
The environment is different from TTC. I like the fact that you can view outside the window at all times. Unlike TTC is underground most of the time. The traveling time is much less than TTC, I think it is because of the fewer stops. I also do like the fact that they have express trains/bus, maybe this is something that TTC can try to implement to their system.
Despite all the good things GO train has, I still would think twice about taking it because of it’s price. The cost for a round trip to and from downtown can fill the gas for my car to drive 100+ km which is like 1.5 trips driving to downtown.
I noticed another interesting fact about the train. People tend to either sleep or play sudoku. I see some people sleeping with their mouth opened (I did that too on a tour bus…LOL) and some people would smile to themselves while listening to music. There was this one guy on the train sleeping with his mouth opened, and his face keeps on having movements as if he has cramps on his face/mouth…it was really weird and I couldn’t help but stared at him…lol…
I think one enhancement the train can work on is to have wi-fi on the train…hahaha…but I don’t think that’s gonna happen anytime soon.
