Friends Today, Friends Fovever?
Last night, I went out for drinks w/ some friends and as usual we talked about things that are happening in our group of friends.
I’m really concerned about this particular friend right now, I can sense something is happening or something is changing his attitude. However, he was not willing to share whatever is troubling him.
I used to talk a lot with him about all sorts of stuff because we are best friends. But now, I can’t even get him to give me 2 sentences replies. I tried to see what’s going on and if there’s anything I can do to help, but he completely shuts me off.
He also started calling my first name whenever he talks, he never did that before, usually we don’t need to address each other’s name. This action of his made me feel like we are drifting apart and possibly turning into strangers.
I value this friendship a lot and I don’t want to lose it. I was reading his old blog again and saw this quote:
“A friend once asked me, if the quote i wrote after High school, “Friends Today, Friends Forever”…do i really believe such a thing exist. Can friends really last forever? To this day, I still believed, if you were once my friend, u’ll always be my friend… of course..it may not be easy to maintain a friendship….but if both parties involved, are willing to work at it, willing to maintain this friendship“
Does he still believes in friendship? Does he still has the same faith? Or maybe I’m the one who’s losing faith…I felt tears coming down my face when I was reading his blog again.
Busy Life
Lately, my schedule is packed with events one after another. First it is studying for my ACE exam, then I have to prepare for interviews, on top of that I also have been doing some freelance work. All of these are happening outside of my daily work schedule…haha…just the sound of it makes me want to fall asleep.
Despite the fact I have been so busy, I still found time to meet w/ my dear friends. Just a casual dinner filled with laughters can release all my stress.
